We see people with hearing problems creating music, dancing, or people with no hands creating artworks, people with no limbs or some physical disability - racing, playing tennis, football, volleyball etc etc ( Paralympics ) ! It is inspiring as well as difficult as it leaves us with no excuses ! :)
And my heartiest congratulations to all sportsmen/women who remind us that there are no rules and there are no limitations to what we can do ! Thank you very much from heart !

Have a burden free, prioritized week ahead guys !

Bull fight

Though India doesn't have this concept of Bull fight ( as there are thousands of other fights that keep us engaged :D - e.g. My God vs Your God etc. etc. ), but show-casing of cruelty always stir something deep inside, it makes most of us restless. I wish us to be more restless, more active against wrongs, Amen !

Body, Soul, Death, Incarnation - An Intriguing Journey

We are programmed to love life, and we fear death, even though we (Indians) believe death is continuation of life. I visit hometown yearly, and mom would tell me - "You know that lady , she passed away." And I keep on getting updates on who survived this year or who could not. I would not be able see people, whom I love when they die or when I die. So, I fear death, because I am in love.

Me - Decaying and beautiful !

I see my hair falling, and I feel I am decaying ! I'm passing away day by day bit by bit.....hurt, healed, broken, repaired - carrying all synonyms-antonyms, all ironies and paradoxes, realities and reflections....Its Old me, aged me, wise and beautiful me, like my mother, like my grandmother, like that lady staying across the street ! :):)

Autism Awareness Month

Thanks to a facebook friend Aniket for asking me to make an illustration for autism day. I am little aware now. Aware, as I should be, I need to be...we, people and people with autism, are alike with different level of understanding - not less, not more, just different ! :)

Any Poachers reading it ?

And why should I be concerned about tigers getting extinct :

-because it's the current topic,
-or, I can't imagine "Champak Van" without tigers,
-or, the cat sleeping under my window will be sad as tiger is its nephew, phew :( !!!
-or, Calvin's Hobbes would be crying,
-or, my son whose favorite animal is tiger, would enormously annoyed with all Humans,
-or, 75% of bedtimes stories would be dull without them,
-or, sometimes a tiger roars inside me when I see some wrong,
-or, why can't we share some space with other species JUST LIKE THAT !!!

Many have associated the poem "Ring-a-ring-a" with the Great Plague of London in 1665. And "we all fall down" symbolises death. This time the cause of plague is human and not rats.

Me a 10 year old learning science my way!

When I could not understand what teacher was telling in the science class, I tried myself to see, hear, smell what light was telling me ! I heard it :D, really !

Bonsai's grief

Space is "nothingness" around us. But how important it is for relationships and for growth ! I would want to grow in seasons, in sun, in winds and in space, not in a pot.

Indian men with small heart and big libido

Do we (men in particular) even know how to share a space with somebody?

female infanticide ( April, Year 2012)

A world without girls !!! Three-month-old Neha Afreen — allegedly battered by her father who wanted a son — died of cardiac arrest on Wednesday, becoming the fourth known victim of such abuse of the girl child in India in recent times. :(:( I am affected, and angry as well. World is a nice place with girls!

Hike in Petrol Prices

A bright lazy day , and you just want to sit n comment on each and every thing - It is one of those days, when nothing can take your sense of humor off you - not even when your residence is a dingy pavement on a street, and also not even when you are too insignificant to be noticed !!! I think this strip was not just about petrol or inflation !

It's a funny life, and problems add fun to it !!!

Big Bang Theory and My son

Dementors inside and Happiness Quotes

we can’t produce "Patronus" like Harry Potter :), but "inspirational and happiness" quotations, definitely help us to fight some dementors :)...Keep sending them on Whatsapp or on FB, friends. I thank you for them :)

Pain in Neck - Neck Pain :)

Women's day

Valentine's day

Sometimes, a dried rose in a worn out Algebra book lights up an old house in memory lane; You enter and eat your fill...it is nourishing and, sometimes someone makes "gulkand" (a sweet made from roses) to nourish before rose dries up....... Love always nourishes - soul or body :D Happy Valentine's day!

Santa Claus and Belief System

Festivals of India - X-mas

1. I can see Indian politics and manipulations of religions. And I regret it, condemn it in whatever small ways I can.

2. I still love wooden toys, but kids nowadays don't :)....Now there is a training department for game development in NorthPole and elves are learning it...and there is a learning curve :):).......May be next year there would be non-violent games developed by Elves :) Wish you all merry christmas and a safe n Happy year !! :)

3. You need to be good whole year to get good X-mas gifts :)

Festivals of India - Karvachauth

Festivals of India - August 15, Independence Day

I am thankful that I live in a Free Country, I have not lost any family member before or in 1947, they all came safely from Pakistan...So may be I take this freedom for granted...hmmmm, sometimes..... A Day to remind me, I owe to people and this country!!! Happy Independence Day to all !!!

Festivals of India - Krishan Janamashtami

Where do they get the feathers? Are there peacock farmers that just walk behind the peacocks and wait for something to drop or peacocks were killed and skinned for their feathers, but recently I found out differently. When peacocks molt, they start to drop their beautiful eye tail feathers as well as sword feathers. So no fear - u can tuck some feathers in hair and put some in pages of your books :)! Happy Krishna Janamashtmi to all !!

Festivals of India - Ganesh Chaturthi

I swear I heard it ! :) :)

Festivals of India - Makar Sankranti ( January 14, every year )

"Sankranti" means movement. This festival marks the day where there is significant movement in the zodiac. Movements that sustains and nourishes life ! Also, it is a harvesting festival. People fly kites and eat winter sweets to celebrate. Now, Another aspect of this beautiful festival - birds get killed by glass coated threads. If I were a bird, I would be very angry with humans. But I'm not, still can't stop to think if there's a better way to celebrate? And How :/ ?? Birds are supposed to be in sky.....and kites ? Hopefully birds will evolve one day with iron bodies and aluminum feathers, or we will be more sensitive ! :):)

Festivals of India - Navratri

Festivals of India - Dussehra

This Picture wont go with Dussehra Theme - "victory of good over evil"....And I am not pro-Ravan ( i can't be), though I have complaints for Lord Rama....But this picture is just a human perspective of seeing things....
